This is a good example of the minimal use of the proposal documents to create a 3 page project proposal (Title page, executive summary and combined short form contract/cost summary).
Florentine Design Group designed and built custom PowerPoint templates for Apex Generation, an environmental technology company. Apex Generation wanted to be able to combine a large amount of existing presentations into a master template which their sales force could use to alter and edit their presentations while on the road.
Apex Generation is a good example of a well-done short project that just about any designer can create and estimate. The multimedia flash intro and follow up training session are the only non-traditional pieces, which were outside the realm of HTML and Graphic Design.
The company supplied a number of basic PPT files, which contained an even wider variety of images (too large for a file they wished to email) formats, sizes, shapes, etc. The current PowerPoint file is a redesign of a series of PPT files done by an amateur developer. None of the original PPT files were used so the project was estimated as a new job noting that the client would supply most of the media (images, logos, photography and content).
