Like everything
in software development and creative arts, the material presented
here is designed to be the starting point for you to develop your
business processes around. If you already have some of these in
place you will find additional information in the kit materials
that can enhance your existing system. Our kit materials are used
by thousands of developers and businesses around the world. Since
no single set of materials will work as-is for so many, you may
have to make some edits to some materials to suit your particular
business needs. Most of the changes you make will only have to
be done once (such as inserting your logo or editing a paragraph
of pre-written text). These changes can all be done with your
word processor.
Proposal Kit
is designed to give businesses the content they need and aid in
the quick and easy automation of tailoring documents to each client,
and all at a price any business can afford. Proposal Kit includes
both proposal and contract materials along with additional
bonus business and development materials. You use your native applications
such as word processor and spreadsheet since you are already familiar
with a particular set of tools.
Proposal
Kit
is a bundle of proposal and contract templates with supporting
materials specifically tailored for web, CD-ROM, multimedia and other computer professionals.
Proposal
Packs are proposal templates for use with Proposal Kit
as add-on graphic styles and for stand-alone use for any type
of business.
Proposal
Pack Wizard is an automated software tool used to help
automate the proposal development process. Proposal Pack Wizard
is used with Proposal Kit and Proposal Packs.
Other automated
proposal systems are available from other companies, however they usually start at
about $500.00 for a basic proposal generator for a single user
and can quickly run into the 5-figure range for a larger size
sales force or web enabled automation. These systems end up generating
documents in the end anyway and you still have to write much
of the content for the proposal. They also will not include any
of the web professional content, contracts, or contracts such
as those included in Proposal Kit. When you are ready to step
up to a higher level of automation your Proposal Kit content will
be invaluable for jump-starting the content creation of a higher
end system (or you can contract with those companies who will
up sell you on having them write your proposal content to set-up
their systems at $1500+ per day). These resources are out of reach
of most individuals and small businesses so we strive to provide
you with all the tools you need at a price you can afford. And
when you do move up, you can take what you created to jump-start
the next step.
The first
steps in using Proposal Kit are to read the documentation that
comes with each package and this tutorial. The documentation describes
the contents of the Proposal Kits, tips on dealing with problem
clients and situations, how to use the estimate spreadsheets,
explanations of the web site navigation systems and diagrams.
The link to this document is located in each of the web page organizers
installed on your desktop. The organizer HTML pages are the interface
included with Proposal Kit which allows you to launch all of the
kit materials using your word processor, spreadsheet, diagram
tools, web editor, etc.
The general
steps in creating a proposal or contract are:
- Edit each
of the base
documents as needed for your business
- Have a
prospective client
- Conduct
an extensive interview with that prospect to determine their
needs
- Create
a storyboard diagram (optional)
- Generate
the estimate (included if using the Pro version or Estimate
Pack)
- Generate
the documents
- Deliver
the proposal
- Negotiate
the contracts and agreements (Pro version and Contract Pack)
