In this video, we're going to show how to use the dark mode feature of the Word to PowerPoint presentation feature in the AI Writer tools. So, we'll show real quick just the document we're going to start with. This is a youth sports grant proposal.
And you can see it's about 30 pages long. We've got an image. We got a little table, all the narrative pages.
So, we're going to turn this 30–page plus document into a PowerPoint presentation. Now, we've already run the slideshow creation once, so we'll show the default. So you can see it's got the youth sports design theme, the color scheme, that image you saw on the cost summary, the table, and we're using the condensed bullet points.
It pulled this image in from the Word document. So this is the default visual design that was created. So now we're going to recreate it a second time in a dark mode.
So we'll go into the AI Writer tools, Create PowerPoint Slideshow. Now you can see these are the settings we used originally. Condensed bullet points.
We're using OpenAI GPT–5 for the narrative. And all we have to do for dark mode is we're going to go into Configure Graphic Design and Layout. Check the Dark Mode box.
And we just have to change two colors. We're going to flip from a light background to a dark background, which means we also have to flip dark header text to light header text. So, we're going to do a variation on the color scheme here.
We'll click Set Color #3. And we've already got that as a custom color. That's good.
We'll go into the background color, which is normally white or light colored, and we're going to set that to a dark color. So, we'll use the default color scheme. We'll make this even a little darker.
And we're going to go into the header text and we'll flip that from black header text to white header text. And those are the only changes we really have to make to do a dark mode. Now, since we already used the AI Writer to extract all the text from the Word document to create the first version of the slideshow, we're going to check this box, Change Graphics Only.
So, we don't have to make calls back out to the AI to recreate the slideshow text since we're only making visual design changes. So, this will save you from having to spend extra AI credits if you're only changing graphic and visual layout changes to your PowerPoint slideshow. So, now we're going to recreate it and just wait for it to complete.
It'll still have to extract the Word document, but it's just not going to call out to the AI. All right, now it's generated a new version. Take a look at this.
So now you can see how it's done the dark mode, which is a dark background with light text in front of it. And that's basically all there is to creating a dark mode version of your PowerPoint presentation using the Proposal Pack Wizard's AI Writer feature.
