Writing the Deposits document

Use this template to describe your policy for deposits. Many service contracts require that the customer make deposit up front to secure the contractors time and finalize the contract. Explain your deposit policy here. For example you might say " We require deposit of ten percent of the estimated total cost before we can schedule the work. " You might also want to specify how customers can make deposit and what forms of payment you will accept. Describe your cancellation policy here. Often company will return only part of deposit keeping specified amount for processing costs. Returns of deposits are often tied to cancellation dates such as amount returned if the contract is cancelled days in advance amount for days in advance and nothing for less than days prior to the scheduled work date.
