Like any other company in the business of health care Full Life Occupational Therapy is limited in various ways to what we can accomplish. The limitations we experience most often are listed below.

Insurance Policy Restrictions on Number of Sessions. Many health insurance policies limit the number of occupational therapy sessions client may receive in given period of time. Limiting therapy sessions may mean that the client will not achieve the maximum benefit that would be possible if therapy were continued or that there may be time gap between sessions.

If we determine that additional therapy sessions would benefit the client our insurance liaison personnel at Full Life will confer with the insurance company to determine if further sessions can be authorized. In the event that further sessions cannot be authorized by the insurance carrier we will offer the client the opportunity to personally pay for more sessions at reasonable cost. We will also strive to teach the client techniques that they may safely practice when therapist is not present. Adherence to Organizational Policy Protocols.

Some state and national organizations mandate standard protocols for certain situations. Although we strive to customize our therapy to meet client’s individual needs some organizations restrict the techniques we must use in certain situations to those techniques that are generally recognized as most effective. If an assigned occupational therapist determines that client would benefit from an alternative therapy protocol our insurance liaison personnel at Full Life will confer with the restricting organization to determine if different therapy techniques can be authorized. In the event that different therapy cannot be authorized by the organization we will offer the client the opportunity to personally pay for alternative therapy sessions at reasonable cost.

As we all know client’s attitude toward therapy has dramatic effect on the effectiveness of that therapy. At times family members and health care professionals are far more eager for occupational therapy to begin than the client is. When client refuses to participate in therapy sessions those sessions can be waste of time and money for everyone involved.

When Full Life therapist determines that client is reluctant to fully participate in therapy sessions that therapist will try to determine the cause of the reluctance and will do his her best to overcome that reluctance. We may recommend postponing or pausing therapy sessions or changing techniques. We may also confer with the client’s health care team to determine if sessions with psychiatric specialists or medications such as antidepressants might help alleviate client’s reluctance.

Full Life Occupational Therapy reserves the right to customize services and fees as needed for unusual cases. Standard Disclaimer. The numbers represented above are to be used as an estimate for the services discussed.

Business proposal example What Our Clients Say

An excellent product, definitely worth the small investment. I spent over 10 years building proposals from scratch for the food service industry and although I had some success I was never entirely happy with the end result. I bought the Proposal Pack Wizard about 2 years ago I was finally able to produce great looking documents with the professional image that I needed. The response to the new format was excellent and I was able to win more business, even when competing with much larger competitors."
