Washington Specialties has made tremendous strides towards growth these past years and believe the addition of Space City Meals to your product line can help to take you to your next level of successful growth.
I have included our proposal for standard product assortment that should fit your short term needs. Obviously moving forward we will want to increase the product assortment quantity and delivery schedule to fit the individual needs of each of your store locations. Delivery of the initial order can easily meet your desired launch date of June 1.
Your first delivery will be made on May to your central distribution center in Seattle Washington. Future deliveries will be individually store shipped and arrive on individual schedules as you determine. As you know Space City Meals are specialists in creating unique food products that capitalize on the Seattle Space Needle landmark.
Since our product delivery system is already in place it is easy for us to deliver exactly what you need based on our discussions and we will be able to have your custom promotional materials and signage ready to meet your distribution needs well before your deadlines. The cost summary is based on current pricing available for your standard product mix as selected and is valid for the next days. The production schedule is based on May first delivery date.

In order to facilitate creating an environment where sales can take place the following marketing plan is to be implemented. The target market has been described in the "Market and Audience" section of the proposal. Planning Process. Based on our current research the following plan is implemented on National level for the benefit of all retailers of the Space City Meals product lines.
Marketing Venues. Television spots of and seconds during Prime Time Television on all major networks. Billboard advertising in major US cities. Radio spots of seconds during evening drive time in major US cities. Magazine advertising in Better Home and Gardens Seattle Magazine Fine Wine and Food Woman’s Day and Gourmet Cooking.
Marketing Budget. Our current marketing budget is in excess of $5 million for the current calendar year. Marketing Time Table. All marketing campaigns are scheduled directly through our corporate office in Seattle Washington. Special requests can be made in writing and will be billed at volume discounted market rates based upon approval and availability.
Follow up Marketing Plan. Mailing lists are available for Direct Mail campaigns by all of our retail partners. Please call your Corporate Account Executive for more detailed information. The target market niche. Space City Meals has identified its target market as Specialty Food shoppers. They tend to shop at specialty stores entertain on regular basis 2+ times per month and spend on average $175.00 per visit to specialty retail food stores. The size of the target market. In the Seattle market this equates to 37.8% of the general population.
Where they can be reached. Our target market group shops at upscale specialty and niche stores. Their taste is for unique products that cannot be found at mass merchandisers. On average they shop at Restoration Hardware Nicoles Christopher & Banks Nordstrom Pottery Barn William Sonoma and Eddie Bauer.
They do not tend to shop at the Outlet versions of these stores as they are not bargain hunters rather they prefer to be the first adopters of new products and fashions. Target market demographics. Women aged 26 55 years old with household income of $85 per year and higher. Average family size is 3+. Predominantly these women are Caucasian and European and only 35% work outside of the home.
Why they are the target market. Our target market likes the products both for simplicity and for its unique characteristics. What will cause the target market to respond to the campaign. Always wanting to be unique when entertaining our target market recognizes the ease of use as well as the variety of ways to use our products.
Cost is not an issue for the target market. How this project will benefit the target market. With entertaining high on the priority list for our target market they will purchase the products in larger volume and in greater assortment than the traditional first time consumers within standard grocery store setting.
Trying on average recipes within the first months is common and additional purchases are made within days of initial purchase by over 90% of our target group. About us – Space City Meals was started in by four stay at home mothers who had passion for cooking sharing their unique meal ideas with each other and who were enamored with the Seattle Space Needle. Over the first few years we set up weekly cooking schedule so our families could both share in this unique set of passions and to allow each of us to take few nights off per week from cooking without losing the benefits of home cooked meals.
In early menu of favorites arose pasta products spice assortments and soup mixes. With recipes that include poultry beef pork fish tofu and vegan varieties that allows for over different meals. By Space City Meals had grown to local and regional awareness. Our products were featured in over restaurants specialty stores and National Chain retailers.
Gaining additional exposure during visit by Oprah has led to numerous celebrity endorsements. We have been featured in the Eddie Bauer and Coldwater Creek catalogs as well as in movies filmed in the Seattle area. Today Space City Meals is Nationally and Internationally recognized Corporation with wholesale distribution in excess of $475 million per year. Our product line encompasses pasta products pasta rice combinations spice assortments soup mixes cookbooks and promotional items such as shirts hot mats cutting boards aprons and calendars.
